What fun we had. I saw flowering trees on the beach at Antigua with dozen of hummingbirds! An amazing sight. As soon as i got home it was Mother's day and I had to paint the lovely tea roses that I received. I'm sure eveyone know to put their flowers in the refrigerator...sure does keep them longer. Now, I can paint another painting. this one is my first of the tea roses.DOTTIES EASELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05743729078803275026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4489185871391055215.post-53656989596058596302009-02-15T10:14:00.001-08:002009-02-15T10:14:39.911-08:00DOTTIES EASELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05743729078803275026noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4489185871391055215.post-44283158690476696322009-02-12T16:21:00.000-08:002009-02-12T16:39:20.130-08:00Pattern of the dayToday I will be talking about my third pattern design called "LAVENDER WINDOW". This was featured in the July, 2004 issue of PaintWorks magazine. A magazine for artists, both decorative and fine artists.

This design was the inspiration for a client where we were painting murals. There was a small room off the master bathroom with no windows. The original window we painted on the wall was about 5 feet tall and was located on the wall behind the commode....so you saw it the minute you entered the tiny room. It made a big hit with the client!

The soothing lavender fields and countryside were the background for this "window". The ledge beneath the window is also painted. It looks so real we have had people touch it. You looked through an open window frame just as a real window would be shown. The iron grillwork on the window frame was the frosting on the cake!

This made a lovely design pattern and it is very easy to do....either on a wall or a favorite piece of canvas or wood. It is adaptable to many surfaces which makes it even more desirable.DOTTIES EASELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05743729078803275026noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4489185871391055215.post-54570728185911461142008-11-30T08:33:00.000-08:002008-11-30T08:33:52.071-08:00DOTTIES DESIGNSDOTTIES DESIGNS

Correction on our blog: havebrushwilltravel.blogspot.comDOTTIES EASELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05743729078803275026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4489185871391055215.post-36652828357261748742008-11-22T05:55:00.000-08:002008-11-22T05:55:23.710-08:00DOTTIES DESIGNSDOTTIES DESIGNS
havebrushwilltravel.blogspot.comDOTTIES EASELhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05743729078803275026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4489185871391055215.post-36098693845998161522008-11-08T18:16:00.000-08:002008-11-08T18:57:12.719-08:00My daughter, Carol Buck and I have called our business HAVE BRUSH WILL TRAVEL.
